New guy in Lynden
Howdy, new here, a buddy is a member, and is to blame for my fish tank, haha. We enjoy it, but have had some hard times with fish.. So Ill be asking questions!
Video of what were running right now, wanted to keep it low maintenance and appealing. My wife origionally wanted a guppy in a tiny bowl, for some reason I picked up all this.

I probably do, we cant get algae eaters of any kind to stay alive, or snails... Buddy said some live plants would help the algae issue?CrazedAce wrote:Welcome!

Live plants will soak up the nutrients and keep the algae in check. You need some hidey holes or caves in there for the algae eaters to hide in. As you can see, they are resorting to hiding behind the filter/heater, but it's not an ideal place for them to live.
Also, feeding them sinking pellets/wafers and the occasional fresh veggie will keep them well fed. Usually a couple pellets per pleco, and 1-2 pellets for 2 corys is a perfect combo. Most fish go crazy for cucumber as well, bottom or top feeders.
