I am surprised they have survived this long.  But really, its the idiots that buy these things that make people like the seller even think to put something like that up for sale.  Its truly sad.

That's terrible. Would anyone really buy those poor fish??  To me, the others look deformed as well.  Their faces look blunted.  It's very sad.

I agree totally Betty but the reality of todays society is that at many levels people seek out the macabre, the unusual, the rare. I can just picture a small boardwalk fish store that we visited a few years back seeking to draw people in by buying something like this for sensationalism and advertising purposes...Come see the conjoined fish...and guess what? People will. Yes it is terrible and sad.

Idiot. Oh my. For one, it is a a hybrid. Two, it is deformed. I'd have put the fish down. It is rare because normal cichlid hobbyists would not put it down for the best interest in the animal.

I agree with SiRWesDragon, the buyer is the bigger idiot. I mean, you could guarantee that if it didn't survive the trip to the new owner's place to give money back. That would mean you are out a bunch of money. Also the fact of the above reasons I gave is the other reason the buyer would be rather dumb.
