New from Renton
Hey all I'm a pretty new aquarium keeper. I bought a 5.5 gallon about 4 months ago and quickly upgraded to a 20h within a month. I guess I got the bug! I love shrimp!

Welcome..... I love shrimp too. Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it.

Re: New from Renton
WELCOME!
It will be fun to watch & help you expand into the hobby.
Maddness, I once had a MEAN AZZ freshwater Prawn. It grew to 16 inches and terrorized my 7 foot tank. Once my SpotFaced Pike got to about a foot long I walked into the room & my prawn was tore apart.
So you see, there are MONSTER inverts as well!

Welcome aboard, I almost bought some Red Cherry Shrimp last time I was at Corys, but ended up picking up a couple lawn mowers (Plecos) and a few more neons.

Congratulations!Gmtech1 wrote:When I got home and looked in my tank tonight... New red wag platy fry! My first time having baby fish!!
I must be an odd one, as I've only had baby danios (Zebra x Blue Longfin) and never any livebearer ones. Then again, I've only had male guppies as my only livebearer species in all the years I've had fish tanks.

What got you into fish keeping?? Just keep it simple for now til' you know your way around the tanks and water and gain more experience at it. Were all here to support you!

If anything BUy A COMPREHESIVE fresh water TEST KIT INSTEAD!

Re: New from Renton
I've had fish when I was a kid then didn't have a tank for at least 15 years and finally decided to bite the bullet and get back into it. Thanks for the invite Nate I'd love to checkout the tanks sometime.
