Re: some recent pictures :)
I don't mean to offend and hope this doesn't come across that way, but the first three fish pictured look overfed. The dominant one is extremely overweight. The fish in the background with the dominant one looks fine, so it seems like the dominant ones are getting more than their share of the food. My mbuna are very aggressive eaters and I've had a couple that I had to get creative with their feedings to keep them from eating more than their share -- not easy to do, but being that overweight isn't good for them.
Congrats on the fry.

yeah they are on kind of a diet, i got them from someone just a few days ago they are very chunky. the fish in the background is my aurora ive had for a bit now. like i said though isted of feeding them everyday im feeding them every other day. trying my hardest to get there weight down because they defiantly are little fatties thanks for the input though!

Ah, that explains it. Good luck with their diet! I had a tough time with my fish because I didn't want the others to have their meals cut back because of a couple of piggy eaters. I think in the end what worked for mine was to put the food into the outflow of the filter, causing the pellets to be scattered all over instead of more concentrated on the surface where the aggressive eaters were gobbling it all up before the others could get any.

Re: some recent pictures :)
well they dont like to come up to the top to eat so what i have been doing for my other fish who do come up to the top. ive been feeding them with floating flakes and pellets and the hongi's ive been doing sinking pellets. they seem to be doing ok with that for now. we will see though
