Getting something new tomorrow(and it's not copper river salmon)
I am so pumped! I just got word that I am guaranteed to get my new fish(13 total, i'm keeping five) by 10:30am tomorrow from Alaska.......and, like the title says, it's not copper river! I will post a video of their arrival tomorrow, as long as they all make it. Then I will let you guess what they are.

So not even a little hint? (And 'they are fish' is not enough!)
Cichlid?
Rare?
Just tell us what it is already!

Re: Getting something new tomorrow(and it's not copper river salmon)
i know, i know, i gave it away too easy. but let's see someone actually produce a picture of these fish..... until then, it's still a mystery to most.
and yes, that is a stunning blue parrot. if only i could find one of those around here, i'd stock my 150g w/ 100 of them...... then it would look like a bunch of blue berries floating in a sink. that picture you posted is a really cool color, i just wish it had a yellow lightening bolt tattooed on it's side.

The blue is nice, but I still think the rio-mag is a better looking Umbee.

Re: Getting something new tomorrow(and it's not copper river salmon)
this is about 15 minutes after being in the q.t. tank
the tank looks cloudy, but i think that it is just the residue left on the outside glassfrom me cleaning it last night with some cheap cleaner , that or maybe the gravel/sand mix was still floating around from this am when i did a water change.... who knows?

They are cute little monsters in the making. Looks like the smaller NLS will come in handy.

Mel has a new video that went up today. It is of his Umbee now that they are in his 1000gal tank. He says the male is about 13" now. If you watch it, you can get an idea of how large that Jag and Chancho are. They dwarf the 13" Umbee.

Re: Getting something new tomorrow(and it's not copper river salmon)
After watching that video, i think that my lone umbee in my community tank may be a female. even though it has real nice blue spots on its face, its fins turn blackish which is what mel said to look for.
as for my gorillus blue, i added some of my silver dollars to the tank. do any of you think thats a bad idea? I have never seen them go after any fish, but these umbee are extremely small......
