New 300 & WC Red Devils

Finally got the 300 gallon up and running, and the new WC's are finally ready to move out of quarantine. So I took a quick video of the little beauties.

Yes it is. First time I have seen a RD x Tex peel like that.

Ya I am holding on to it for a while. Had a guy that was suppose to come buy it 2 weeks ago, but now that I see it more clearly, NA, not selling at this time.

you have too! It's definitely worth the chance to keep it for a couple of months to see if it fades completely into a yellow texas(lower grade red texas). maybe a new strain! I saw that it's dad was for sale again in the 300 at aquarium paradise.

2 days after being placed in their new home, my large RD is now spawning with my barred red RD. Hopefully he allows mom to take care of them this time, and they all hatch.

sounds to me like you might have a slight case of RD FEVER..... going to need to make it over there again to visit the new amazing tank in person (or you can just continue to add videos every couple of days here)

No fee, just call before showing up. I enjoy showing off the fish and talking the hobby.

the way that those two are turning in unison in the fourth picture instantly brought back memories of watching the old t.v. show "CHiPS". All I can say is awesome fish and awesome memories. Those pictures are the best!

You mean the blue male? He was getting some deep reds in his face and tail just before I moved him.

Just had an 11" WC Atromacolatum delivered today. Hopefully he can get along well with my female. They are in the inside tank.

yes, the blue one.... oops, i thought from the start that it had juvenile colors still except for those real deep red undertones!

The blue guy is about 7", so it is still possible that he may peel. But I hope not...

Considering (as far as I know) nobody in the Country is breeding Atros, I sure hope so.

So In this tank, my large male and my red barred female have wigglers on one end and the 2 above spawned on the other end. NICE!!!!

Actually, the bright red male in the picture above your last post, is currently spawning with the bright red female this time. And the Blue one that I got also looks to be a female. WTF, its not hard to vent. I wanted 3 males and 1 female, especially the blue one being male. If it turns out that in fact I got 1 male and 3 females, that would mean that I will have 2 WC males and 5 WC females. I dont like those numbers, plus I wanted a blue male for my blue female. That is a color I think people will buy, blue Devils with a hint of red.

I will have tons of colorful fry soon. OH, and I will also have tons of Black Umbee fry real soon.

All around the same size, RD fry x 2, Dovii fry, Red Isletas fry, Piebold Fen fry, Trimac fry, Festae fry, Hartwegi fry.

And my son noticed today that my 2 Rhytisma are hanging out together in the same pot. This would be awesome, I dont know of anyone spawning these and they are on the endangered list also. So hopefully, something happens here.

Also have 2 Breidohri hanging together in their breeding colors. Maybe I will finally be getting some different species spawning, finally. And my Grammodes have been hanging out too.

There is a guy down in battle ground I believe that has bred his f1 blacks successfully so I'm guessing that's where the fry are coming from. Prolly will be picking up some myself to complete my Umbee collection.

im getting some gorillus blue in the coming weeks from alaska.... so pumped myself, though i also want the blacks!
