cyanobacteria...ugh!
yup, ive got it, and it appears to be snowballing..its still at the mild wtf is that stage.....but its progressing faster each day

Antibiotics do work, at least temporarily, but it's always returned later when I treated it with them. AND, you're exposing your fish to unnecessary, possibly harmful drugs. There are many negative implications related to antibiotic use. Something to consider.
I don't have a solid cure. I have had some success with fluctuating temps and light periods. Try a blackout for a day or two after a good cleaning.

Nitrates aren't the issue with me. I battle to keep them down. I've also had BGA in high flow tanks.
