Anyone have any experience with firemouths? Like tankmates, aggressions? I have a 30 gallon tank that I have a male and a female and it seems the males are kind of rough on the females as for aggresion. In the tank I have 5 long fin zebra danios, 4 upside down catfish, 1 brown knife fish and the 2 firemouths, I was wanting to add something else to spread out the aggresion so the female firemouth isnt always cornered in the tank.

Well you need to get a few more firemouths or that female is going to die, lol. This way, it disperses aggression and gives the dominant male more targets, and it's easier for the others to get away and disappear into the crowd.

Once your new firemouths get of age, try to really only have the dominant male with like 4 or more females. Keeping one or 2 sub-dominants will be just fine.

Very Happy
