At first I thought your fish died, then I realized you'd share details in the morning.
I like the wood in the tank.

Re: ooops, I did it again!!
So, I got this new 150, not the one I got two weeks ago. Another one. And I set it up in 4 hours with all the equipment I was running on my 125. So its fully cycled, has 50% of the water from the 125, and is now sitting nicely at 79degrees. I'm gonna move some fish around. This 150 will house my black belts, and my red devils that are in the front room 150. Then I'm moving some new fish into the front room 150 and scaping it. Will post some updated pictures in a few hours.

When VW begins a post with the title of a Britney Spears song, you really should be worried.

Yeah, the fish going in there spend most of there time in open water. Not in the wild, but in my tank they do. So kept the decor to a minimum. And of course it will change over and ove untill I'm completely satisfied. And then I will be throwing some flower pots in there fo spawning sites. But that's in time, for now, simple is my goal. Thanks.

Well VW your slowly getting there. What do I mean? Your slowly getting to the point where every tank you own is in the three digits when it come to gallons.
Cant wait to see the two 150's set up with stock. And I have to say the skull makes it look, whats the word Im looking for? TOUGH!

Re: ooops, I did it again!!
Thanks D, I am at my cap now. No more tanks total tank list 180, 150, 150, 125, 110, 29, 20L. But I need backgrounds for the 150s, and I only have 2 skulls so 5 of tanks are really whimpy. But I will work on that. I am also not going to be able to set up my 125 for a little while. I need a filter, proper stand and lighting for it. Because I transferd everything to the newest 150. I will wait untill I have my 2 new tanks diald in before I set that one back up, so about 2 months out.
Thanks everyone for your comments. As soon as I get these all set up and doing well I will do a video update of all my tanks.

And of course it will allghange as soon as that madrona dies and gets added to the tanks. Time go fetch out my H. Nicaraguensis and mr "red" isletes. They have been waiting for that 150 for a while now. Fist I have to check and make sure my 150 is cycled. If so will take another shot of the fish in the tank. Man both of these tanks are in desprate need of a background.

Re: ooops, I did it again!!
Well, I won't be putting my isletes and nics in after all. The tank is not cycled yet. Readings are ph 7.4, nitrite .25ppm, nitrate 10ppm, ammonia .5ppm. So little while left to wait. I will let it finish fishless. Feeding a small amount everyday. It won't take longer then a few more days week at the most.. kinda sucks because I really need to get the isletes and nics outta that 110 they are punking on my aureus. Has anyone used any of the "instant" cycle products? Anyone have experiance. It would be nce to get these guys in here fast. But I won't do it at the expense of the health of the fish. Although they are beeating the crap out of my aureus and have killed two. So they are already causing harm to the fish. Anyway. Anyone know if those products work?

Re: ooops, I did it again!!
I seeded this filter from a sponge filter. But the tiny bit of biology from that sponge is no where near enough to handle my bio load. And just the mass of bio mediea in the tank is insane. But I was hoping after 2 weeks of running and the little bit of seeding that it wuld be fine. I will probably try that seachems. Maybe look for a skull while I am out.

Re: ooops, I did it again!!
Ahh, I see you just run a "fresh system" all the time.. makes sence. I will do a big w/c and acclimate the fish slowly. Thanks, for some reason I dident think of that.

Re: ooops, I did it again!!
Now to figure out how to do a water change on a tank with a sump....
Guest- Guest
Re: ooops, I did it again!!
on my 240 i turn off the pump and mark a line on the tank where it drains to the pull water ffrom the main tank and then fill to the line where the tank drains to with the pump off. i also do small changes by turning off the pump and darianing 10-15 gallons out of the sump tank then fill to a line marked on the sump to where the water drains to with the pump off.

Re: ooops, I did it again!!
Theres nothing better than spending a day just taking care of tanks. Thos summer ill be setting up a drip system on all my tanks which will eliminate large changes but kinda hesitant as i love doing wc on my tanks

Re: ooops, I did it again!!
I agree.. but it read somewhere that the drip system is as close to natural as you can get. And its supposed to make your fish grow fast, because of all the fresh clean water.

Re: ooops, I did it again!!
Yeah and then your not stressing the fish with changes in params when u do large changes. With my 1 1/4" drain hose i can change about 300 gallons in around an hour which is nice

Re: ooops, I did it again!!
I really need to go and get a bigger hose. I use 2 little ones. I have a pretty good system down. I can change 50% of water in all my tanks with gravel vac in about 4 hours. And it takes me about 3 if its just water changes. So I do about 7 hours of water changing a week. I would like to cut that time in half, but the water from the tap only comes out so fast.

All finished with the 150 in the great room. I stole the black background off of my empty 125. Current and final stocklist is in my sig. Will get a few shots of the other 150 when the water clears a little. And I plan on doing a video of all my tanks tonight. Thanks to all who have followed me along in this. It has been lots of fun and very rewarding.
