heres something i threw together last night to siphon water out of my tanks faster. chaned 20% on myu 240 with this in about 10 minutes. pipe was 10$ at home depot and is 1 1/4". allows me to exactly take out as much water as i want by the length of the downtube. gonna have figure a filter so it doesnt suck up fry but works great

thanks. i underestimated the weight of the hose when it has water in it so i have to make a pvc elbow to hang on the bathtub so it doesnt fall out but other than that i should be able to change water super fast now and with the new tank going up soon it will save loads of time and total cost was around 20$ so not bad

So no pump? Just a gravity type siphon?

I have been using an 1 1/4" hose 30' long to do the quick water changes on my tanks. That size hose I can do 40% water changes on 10 tanks and fill with outside hose, in a little over an hour.

I like the pipe idea, I have a setup like that with a 3/4" id hose,. I use it mainly for filling the tanks, that way the hose doesnt fall out.

Great idea, anything to make enjoying our hobby even more enjoyable.
