Ratlova's Photo Thread!!!
The day is finally here where I have photos to upload and I'm very excited. Pics aren't great quality as they should be because I had to upload them onto to facebook on my neighbors computer and then download them on mine. But alas they are here. I will hopefully be uploading a few each day. Enjoy!
These are just a few fish that were in my small community tank:
Albino Corydoras

Blue veil tail Betta-He was the first betta I got when my mom got better and I started setting back up tanks

Here's my lone glowlight that passed away a couple weeks ago

The blue bettas name is Sky BTW. Here's a couple more of my bettas, these two I got from Anthraxx and they love the camera. Sorry for the icky decor, it's only a temp tank. Betta experts, what kind of bettas are they? Neither have names, any suggestions?
So here's the big guy, he's very macho:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]\
And here's the other one, he's one of my favorite bettas out of all the ones I have. I'm pretty sure he's blind in both eyes and his body looks a little disfigured. His fins have grown back somewhat, they're not long but they're not shredded anymore. It's hard to capture how pretty he is with the camera but he's got a red sheen on his fins. Most of the time he sleeps in his log but he'll come out for pictures.

The top betta he would be a red Dragonscale plakat or possibly a halfmoon plakat, very nice looking!Ratlova30 wrote:The blue bettas name is Sky BTW. Re: Ratlova's Photo Thread!!!
Thanks Betty, you certainly don't see too many with his coloring, his face kinda reminds me of a piranha.

Don't think so, he doesn't have Dwights Karate skills. In fact he can barely make it to the top of the aquarium. If he was truly Dwight he would clearly be carrying a gun and numb-chucks.

Whatever estimated prison multiplies next to a warehouse. A verbose console abides before the substitute. The smooth sheep transmits latest news breaking news against any raving purge. The tour distresses latest news breaking news throughout the suffix. Across the dead crashes a companion. A cleared holy banks the academic in her nine opposite.

Re: Ratlova's Photo Thread!!!
Thought I would post some pics of my 30gal metaframe, water has a slight bacterial bloom so it's a little cloudy. I tried to capture the uniqueness off the frame but apparently that's really hard to do with stainless steal, too much reflection even without the flash. The hood on this tank is a pain in the butt because the light is the part you lift up to gain access to the tank and so it blinds you whenever you lift it and it's hard to see what you're doing during water changes. Still pretty unique and awesome. Behind the light is a storage compartment, very unique. It has holes where a flap/door should have been to hide the storage, but don't know what happened to that. Only has two angels in it at the moment named Magnes and Ms. Honey(guess the movie?), soon there will be a calico Bristlenose that will be joining them.

This tank has a slate bottom and is sealed with tar.

Re: Ratlova's Photo Thread!!!
Love those old metal-framed tanks! That was the first type of tank I had. When I was little, too many years ago, my aunt had a fishroom and it was full of those tanks. It's what inspired me to want to keep fish.
That storage area on top is cool. Mine didn't have that. Even with storage space in the stand, I have a habit of keeping the food on top of the tank.

Re: Ratlova's Photo Thread!!!
They are pretty awesome, if that hood wasn't so awesome it would seriously be gone as it does make things so difficult(Drives me nuts how you can see all the finger prints too). I bought that tank and hood for $10 off CL and it was listed as a 20gal. And the guy I bought the tank from had given me those two angels and 5 BN juvis. Quite a bargain huh?

Re: Ratlova's Photo Thread!!!
Yeah he's a showy fish, always gets compliments. Certainly makes it easy for me to get pics of him because he's always flaring at his roommate . I tried a couple things for the blind guy as I wanted to make sure he was just blind and didn't have an infection in his eye and the antibiotics and salt helped his fins but his eyes stayed the same. He manages quite well though, just wish he would eat his peas though so that I can be sure he's not blocked up.

Re: Ratlova's Photo Thread!!!
Thought I would post some pics of when we had our snow storm and the animals roughing it.
This was after the first dumping of snow, but it eventually got over a foot deep:

Dakota trekking through the snow, she's love it and would sleep outside if I'd let her, the big bush behind her is the pussy willow tree laying on it's side. Amazingly the trunk didn't snap and it popped back up after the ice melted.

Icicles are one of my favorite parts of this weather, had to knock the ones down over the sidewalk though, don't need unnecessary hospital visits.

The rabbit roughing it inside, inside a container. They normally reside in a 6x12' dog run

More pics of them roughing it, this is Peter:

This pic has nothing to do with the snow, she's just cute, always choosing the smallest beds
