When you tie java moss to wood how long does it take for it to grow.

depends on the moss..i would say a few months to get a good growth going.

use rubber bands to fasten it. the rubber will break down in water and after awhile the moss will anchor. its a lot easier then looking at a bunch of string on there. ive done it both ways and prefer the rubber. just my two cents

ive never thought about rubber bands,tieing things with thread sure is a hassle.

iv always used fishing string...cuz you cant see it as well under water

ive always used thread cause it will break away over time, i tried rubber bands to attach some ferns to bogwood today and it was so easy. It's worth seeing colored rubber bands in my tank for a while being that it completely cut out the hassle and frustration of trying to tie the plants to the wood.
