MAJOR PROBLEM!!!!
the problem is that i dont have enough tanks. as i watch all my fish i realize how much i like each one of them and how i dont wanna have to part with any of them. my umees are in the 240 and are doing great but the problem arises in my 125 where my little red devil and hogaboomorum are really starting to look amazing with the devil already starting to peel colors. my 4" la ceiba freddy has some beautiful yellows with the blue tips to his fins and my lyonsi is always so happy to see me. then comes the 75 filled with my dovii fry i wanna get a pair out of which will take up a tank as they get bigger. sorry if im ranting but the problem is I LOVE MY FISH. good thing is is that i have room for a 75/90 or a 5 foot 120 which ill prolly get by the end of the year. thanks for letting me vent

Re: MAJOR PROBLEM!!!!
Hey dude. Don't know if you have seen any of mels recent vids, but he says this problem will never go away. He says that no matter how many fish he has he still needs more room for a bigger tank. He has like 12 tanks that are 6' or bigger.... I have 3 6' tanks and plan on another 6' (150) and a 5' by the end of year... and I still no with all those tanks I can't buy anymore fish and I am going to have to rehome several... the moral of my response is, you are not alone, there are pleanty of us out here. Madness dosent have enough tanks to house all of his fish at full size. The only one who does is dmd and we are working on shareing our problem with him. Hang in there bud, when our problem is just that we don't have enough tanks for our hobby you have to remind yourself that some civilizations still live in grass huts...... hope I made you feel a bit better.

Re: MAJOR PROBLEM!!!!
Its good to have younger people who are as stoked about fish keeping as some of those older guys.... I'm trying to put myself in the middle here. But I seem to be getting older. I have been at this since I was 9 at my most I had 12 tanks going, and right now I have 7. It never gets old to me, I never get tierd of keeping fish.... its Friday night dude, shouldn't you be drinking????? I am drinking and trying to type on my phone... lol

Seriously, you are not alone. Granted I am into saltwater, but even so, I have 6 tanks set up and am getting a 180 this weekend. I am taking down a 55 but still, I too love my fish and want more, and will be getting more when this 180 is ready to go.
I do still have a freshwater tank too.

Re: MAJOR PROBLEM!!!!
I remember my 180 felt so big for about the first month I had it.... it seems average now. And I think of tanks like 55 gallons as really small.... lol I rember about 5 years ago the biggest tank I had ever owned was a 55, they seem so tiny now.... funny. I want a 300+. It never ends!!!!!!

Re: MAJOR PROBLEM!!!!
I worked out pretty hard 2 years ago, got pretty cut up, my wife couldent keep her hands off me. But it was tough and keeping up with all my tanks takes a lot of time..... that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Re: MAJOR PROBLEM!!!!
Haha, yeah 55 is pretty small, but then so is a 300. Have you ever heard of Bill Wann?
He has a 20,000....yes... 20,000 gal tank in his house. He is in the process of designing a 60,000 gal tank and incorporating it into his house. His system is amazing. Oh and its saltwater, but its still BIG!

Ive got a 5' 120g for sale.....
I do know the feeling, I got back into the hobby after a 20+ year absence (Yes I know, I'm old!), I wasnt sure if I was going to like it as much as I did as a teenager so I started with a breeder sized 65g craigslist find. Found I missed it a lot, within months I had my 120g (again for sale). Now after two years in the hobby I have my 210g and am happy with it but... I still want more.

Re: MAJOR PROBLEM!!!!
i could never do the monster tanks as i feel it takes the whole pet part out of it. thats why mels setups are so ideal. theyre big but not too big and house his fish well and its still like they are pets and not zoo displays. id like to have mels 1000 600s 270s but about 20 125-180s to house pairs and solo fish the big tanks would be communities and the big pairs. oh and the pond around 2000 gallons to just syuff with cichlids thus the need for a new job and mo money

Re: MAJOR PROBLEM!!!!
Funny
My wife hasnt even pressured me to get rid of it. But I did tell her I would sell it to recoup the money spent on the 210g, so I make lame attempts and throw it out there if anybody says they want a tank. Hopefully then I can say "Honey, its just not selling. Maybe I should just keep it."

Re: MAJOR PROBLEM!!!!
My "Major Problem!!!" is not about the number of tanks but wanting just that next size bigger...
I just got my 210g set up and I want a 400ish gallon. Some thing with a footprint of at least 120x30x30 or bigger! I like my large community fish tank.
