Please Say a Prayer with me

Tuesday evening a car carrying 2 girls running a little late to their Varsity soccer game, was involved in an accident. The 2 girls are Juniors at GK (Graham Kapowsin HS). Both girls were popular, great athletes, and students. One of those girls will never play again, and the other is unaware anything even happened. Clarra died on her way to the hospital and Marrisa is in ICU. Both girls are good friends with my son. Marrisa is unaware that Clarra has passed, the Dr's say it may be weeks before she is in the clear. I can only imagine what is going to go through this poor girls head, when she is finally told that her best friend died in that crash.

Tonight GK had a match against Bethal HS. They went ahead and played, cause that is what Clarra would have wanted. For the first period GK played 2 girls down. Bethal also honored the girls and played 2 girls down. The whole student body was in attendance and wearing a pink tshirt with a heart and the #10 in it. GK won 4-1 and after the game GK announced that they will be retiring the #10 in her honor.

Those of us that are parents cant only imagine how hard something like this would be. We as parents should never out live our children. NEVER!!!!!

Please take a moment and say a pray for the girls, the families, and the friends.

I have 3 girls. I wouldn't know how to cope. May you all find peace.

A 16-year-old Graham-Kapowsin High School student killed Tuesday afternoon in a car crash has been identified as Clara Vallone, the
Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office reported today.

Vallone died when the car in which she was riding struck a utility pole, said Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer.

The crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of 137th Street and Canyon Road, he said. Troyer said witnesses reported that the car had been traveling fast and weaving.

Vallone was a passenger.
