Re: Manzanita branches
I got mine from plantbrain(tom barr) on plantedtank.net and couldn't be happier, he's got some really nice large and twisted prices...

Re: Manzanita branches
Here's a trick. check out some of the local petshops that feature birds. Manzanita is sold in some of these shops as perching supports. They may not be as ornate as some would like, but I've seen some pieces that were really nice. Good luck

Re: Manzanita branches
I just ordered some from Rich at: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Really a nice guy and the prices were reasonable. I have two large branches coming, one is 42" the other is 48". These will go into my 210g that I am still in the process of setting up.
Check these guys out, they have some nice individual pieces or you can just buy a box of branches. Shipping is not too bad since they are in Cali.

Re: Manzanita branches
Just a follow up.
I got my two large manzanita branches and had asked for a couple small pieces to give the look of smaller broken branches off the larger pieces. These were thrown in at no extra cost and there were about a dozen of them. The wood was shipped UPS and came in a large box. I am very happy with the speed of shipment, the quality of product and the friendly staff. I will definitely buy from them again!

Re: Manzanita branches
The link seemed to work. Let me know if it does not. I will attempt another try at it.
These are two pieces; one is 42" the other 48". I have them in an intertwined combo to appear to be one large branch. I will prop some large stones under key spots to get it up off the gravel. Again this is inside my 210g (72x24x29).
I am so close to getting this thing set up. I just finished reinforcing the floor under the house and am just working on the plumbing at this point.

Re: Manzanita branches
Thanks, Spyral!
I cant wait to get my fish in there!
My current stock will be in for sure but I'm still trying to figure out two more cichlid tankmates. Possibly a Pearsei, maybe an oscar. Something on the large yet peaceful side...
