Leaking Bulkheads

Anyone got any tips to fix leaking bulkheads? Gaskets smooth side is against the tank. Its an acrylic tank so silicone not going to help much.

Tighten them down. make sure your gasket isn't pinched or cracked.

Down to just one leaking now. Got superman strength I guess and had a few to tight from just hand tightening. Everything I have found online says to hand tighten then 1/4 turn more.
I think part of my part of my problem is the surface around the hole is not perfectly smooth so its not a perfect seal.
