sick male festae

so i came home and found my male festae like this!!!!:

almost looks like a burn or like a midas cichlids colorless spot. back story is, he was in with a male umbee, they were both doing some lip locking and fighting so i took the umbee out of that tank. his lips had swelled up but other then that he seemed fine. this morning he looked fine and now he looks like this. have talked to a couple people and they dont know what im talking about. put him in a hospital tank and started using salt, and a anti bacterial medication.

does anyone know what this is?

honestly looks like he was chewed on. also perhaps all the chewing got something into his bloodstream. an infection that spreads to the blood can rapidly kill. thatd be my guess. either way that really sucks. but on a side note u dont need to go digging around for female festae's anymore...

thanks everyone. it was like somthing was just eating away underneath his skin. when i took him out of the tank, that entire spot sunk in and was like jelly.

ya i didnt need to look for females anymore, jsut spent $248 on a female.

I dont know what it is Rattle, I lost my female Red Devil last week and noticed my really red RTM dead this morning. Both got beat up by their males, but it didnt look that bad. And its like they both just gave up. It sucks man. It really does.

lol im sorry. i was just kidding. that really sucks that you just got a female for sure. if anything it looks like perhaps hole in the head or something along that line. probably all the fighting didnt help much. hard to tell with ca/sa ive noticed they just go ape shit one evening
