Ornatum! Empty Ornatum!

Post  Spyral 2011-02-27, 19:42

Just added 6 Ornatum to the Festae tank. They are about 2" or so, like my Festae. Got a GREAT deal on them from Kevin at A Place For Pets in Burien.

Kevin mentioned he has a new batcj of fish coming in this week, his last order was delayed due to weather.

I'll post up pics later.

Side, they are in my 55 gal SA tank. They are in with 5 Festae, 3 Corys and 3 Convicts. All the fish are small, the biggest fish may be 2.5". I will post pics tomorrow. I left my camera at work and cell phone pics don't cut it.

Very nice Spyral. I picked up 3 of those bad boys from Kevin a week ago. They are in with my Festae babies, and Loisellei babies. They definitely run the little guy tank, and yes, mine eat like mad too. Heading to the airport this evening to pick up an order of fish, and was really thinking about stopping by APFP and picking up a couple more. Rattle has some big Ornatums, and they are beautiful when they get bigger.

You going to breed them, or move them?

I will be breeding them. I look to make a pair or two out of my 6.

HALP, I won't say what I paid for them, but it was a REALLY good deal.

very good they about an inch and a half biggest about 2. One of the most aggressive and good looking fish i have ever had. Hopefully i can get passed the 3-4 inch mark without bloat! I have only lost 1 festae so far from that order.

Moving everything around today, hopefully the beani will learn to coexist in a 6 footer for a few months.
