Time out in the net
How long have you put your fish in time out before? I'm using my 5" net to hold him so everyone can get a rest. What are the chances of him coming out of this meaner? Lol

I've actually done that. It seemed to make my stickleback stop pestering my dwarf gourami. I put him in a pet store cup though, floating in the tank.

easier to pickup a plastic breeder box for $7 and keep him in there until you want to breed again.

Anthony - I believe the question is more about behavior change (OP specifically mentioned time out) than breeding. I'm not sure if the breeder box would create the same feeling of having been dominated that the net does. Esp. since all of the other fish tend to come and check him out while he's stuck in the net. LOL

A nice few days in a bucket with just an air stone, a little bit of Melefix, and no feeding seems to work real well.

That sounds more like federal "pound-me-in-the-ass" prison than time out. If one of my fish ever commits a felony I'll try it.

Lmao. My tetracanthis is the biggest a-hole ever. I've got three bartoni that he refuses to leave alone. If this didn't work I'll be using the bucket method with a heater
