spawning event

I got to witness something yesterday that at first freaked me out. I didnt know what was going on at first. It was all at once the mini brittle stars started crawling out of the rocks like a mass movement. They were all excreting a cloudy fluid all at the same time. I freaked, thinking some chemical or something had gotten into the water and was killing them all so I did a quick water change and added amother carbon filter to the tank. I thought they were all dying. Mini brittle stars do not come out of the rocks for anything. Except maybe food. Then they dont usually come out then either.
I talked to a few people and found out it was a mass spawning. If I ever get a chance to see it again, I'll get video. Imagine hundreds of these things crawling out of the rocks all at the same time. It was kinda creepy.

That would freak me out in general. I'm terrified of starfish

Star fish dont bother me any, but these things are too much like spiders...ewww... I have to use a pair of long handle tweesers to handle them.

Lol, yea my boyfriend asks me of when I begin saltwater how i will handle them. I just tell him he will with a big cup or something

Well you just let me know when you start saltwater and I'll get you a few. They're great part of the cleaner crew.

Lol wouldn't be for maybe a couple years atleast not until we get our own place no room here lol

By then I'll have hundreds I could get you. Wont you be so lucky LOL

Now that would be terrifying maybe one or two should do depending on the size I get lol.
