really bad fish day
woke up to a dead herichthys labriden in my 30 gallon.
also my 5inch Parachromis Fredrichsthalii i picked up last week was dead in my 100 gallon.
my 6 inch ornatum was beat to hell by the 8 inch ornatum, had to move him into the 100 gallon...
anddddddddddddddd.... to top it all off, came into work and most my festae fry are gone. there is a few randomly swimming all over the tank getting picked off by other fish...
somtimes i just want to give up on the entire fish hobby!!!!

Re: really bad fish day
bummer dude! you werent keepin the festae fry alone? what other fish you got in there that you didnt expect to eat the babies??
Sorry to hear about the worst day ever.... thoughs big fish are mean, and I always had trouble keeping multiple guys in a tank.... ALWAYS! and never had a fry survive in a group tank... even the parents always ended up eating them if I left them in too long....
SO live and learn right?

Re: really bad fish day
ya there is still some fry left... maybe 30-50.
the way this tank is set up. looks really cool, but not very easy to get fish out of the tank without disrupting the mother and babies. the male is doing a good job of keeping the other fish on there side of the tank. i just think the mother is not doing a good jop of keeping the fry on there side.
tommorow gonna come in and take on the task of getting all the fish out other then the mother and fry. and i will be able to see how many fry are left at that point also...
thanks all for the thoughts...

Damn Kieth, I thought my day was bad. My fish are still alive at least. I just noticed that most of my unique fish in my 135 have HITH. So I am in the process of clearing this up.
So, hang in there, if you need help let me know.
