Looks amazing! But what is it?
Browsing on craigslist and came across the WFB ad on there and there was this picture posted. I LOVE the colors in this fish. Can someone ID it for me?!

I'm not positive, but it looks like Pseudotropheus sp. "elongatus chewere". That's the only one I can think of with those markings, but I'm not an expert by any stretch!

I second betty on it being Pseudotropheus sp. "elongatus chewere"... Definatly one of the beautiful Pseudotropheus species..

I agree Doza, I went and looked further and googled it. I agree that's what it is. The pictures I found on google have ALOT more color than what this one did. But still look great!

A lot of the advertised pictures on many sites look alot better than pictures most of us can tank...
Thats how they sell their fish lol.. Even though i have to say there have been some great pictures on our picture contests..

LOL shorty, believe it or not, I was thinking of chewere when we were talking about it but when I googled the pictures yours looked more accurate than the ones that popped up. The almost diamond-shaped bars are pretty unique.
You can find these guys on AquaBid pretty frequently. I'm not sure if I've seen them locally though.

The shipping is a killer though for getting them here. A $40 fish seems like quite a bit since it's just for looks and not breeding.

Conway Tropical Fish has some, and they end up getting some yellow on there tail fin. If im right I thought i seen them for $10.99 each.
