Re: IS THIS NORMAL BEHAVIOR!?
When my mbuna are in the 2" to 4" range they tend to do this as well. I think that must be ideal size and age for them to enjoy the "filter game" as we call it. Once they get bigger I find they are less interested (sadly).

My clown loaches would give it everything they had to try and swim in the filter outlet. Must think there is a food stash in there or something. Entertaining though.

Thanks Mikey!
Icer711- You weren't supposed to see the bucket!
I do have one and I just got the piece I needed for my faucet so I could use it today. I filled my 46gal with it just to try it out and then I put all away. Then later decided to mess with the 72gal and I just took about 2 1/2 gallons out of the tank so I could stick my arm in to get rid of the algae on the sand and didn't want to whip out all 50' of the python again!
Ok that didnt sound right!

Re: IS THIS NORMAL BEHAVIOR!?
Ive been using the water python for a couple months now and has worked great for multiple tank WC, problem I have thou is I have gone through 2 of the valves that screw onto the faucet from either turning the valve off on the fill side of the hose and ended up blowing out the valve on the faucet side or breaking the valves when coiling the hose backup to put it away. Plus all the splashing water from high pressure getting all over around the sink, I learned a new way to fill and syphon your tanks by using a powerhead in a bucket and have your faucet poor fill the bucket as your filling your aquariums, then to clean the tank change the hose to the suction side of the powerhead. Might have to put some sort of a sponge chamber before the powerhead to block big debris getting into the propeller chamber.
