Hoplias aimara
Man, this is probably a lost cause but i would love to own one of these things.

Would anyone know where to even start looking for one of these? I know they get huge, and they dont go cheap. I think just doing a quick search i seen one sale for like 900.00 but that was the lowest.
But man look at the teeth on that thing, that could very well take a hand off i would think.

aquaristworld.net
you should check it out: Aquarist World is located 15 to 20 minutes South of Seattle at 9409 Delridge Way, get on the West Seattle Bridge and take the Delridge Way exit. From Bellevue about 20 minutes and from Tacoma just 45 minutes.

Re: Hoplias aimara
Wow, I cant believe how long ago i made this thread. Anyway fingers crossed, I didnt find the aimara for the price and size I was comfortable with. But i have been exchanging emails with wes from Rare fish on MFK, and he did promise me two Hoplias curupira. I was going to get one this week but shipping out of Suriname was delayed till next week, so I asked for both of the small ones he had coming in. I am trying not to get too excited cause i know anything can happen but, I'm keepeing my fingers crossed no doubt. If/when they come in I'll make a new thread with pics. Gonna be some little guys though looking at 3 inches worth of savagery.
