RANT - iphone 3gs to FW 4.0.1

ok, so i consider myself as a mainstream cracker, you know...psp, wii, iphone, ipod touch things like this.
ive done all of the cracking myself, following guides and stuff, plus helped a few people along the way.

now?!, because my co-worker's brother jailbroke his iphone and pretty much has it down to the T, i though: well...i havent been up to date with which programs work best, might as well allow him to jailbreak it.

WRONG!

now im iphoneless and upset at myself: shouldve done it myself.

That sucks. Why do you need to "jail break" it? Does it suck!?

Never into Ipods/Iphones. Friend bought a 1st Gen iPod for $500 (early 2000s). Battery went dead 2 yrs later, Apple said go buy a new ipod. Pretty lame.

im on t-moble, and i wanted te iphone. oh well...i guess no game night tomorrow, need to fix someone's FAIL!

there is a little beverage store, across the street from great wall mall and right behind jack in the box. guy in there works on iphones real cheap. i had my unlocked when i went to philippines. only cost me 10 bucks... you could check there if in a bind. ....

and it only took like 10 minutes

EDIT - so after downloading 4.0.1, using sn0wbreeze seems to work. but...having my iphone with me would be nice. bah....

how the hell do you guys have money to spend on iphones AND have fish?

There's a pending suit against Apple right now for anti-trust for their iPhone.

They are the only phone that requires a SPECIFIC carrier for their phone. I hope the suit wins.

I used my Iphone for t-mobile. I got the phone when it was already jail broken though. But I always see craigslist adds for "Will jailbreak your phone for t-mobile" for really cheap like $10-$50

my phone does not even have a camera in it... I have all apple computers in my house, but never found the need for an expensive monthly bill linked to an iPhone to surf the web on a tiny screen. Besides my little phone holds a charge for a week. Which leaves more $ for fish.

For me it isn't even the web browsing. I have a laptop so I don't really even need it. I love everything about the iphone. It is simple but yet awesome. You can get cool applications for it. I love the way the texts work and how you can chop and use any part from a song on itunes to make your own ringtones. I just love it! And of you get it jail broken for tmobile you don't pay any more than you would for one of their cheap phones. And did I mention the camera is like a nice digital camera. It takes great pictures.

nothing better then the iphone...period... music, and pictures. email. i will be at work sitting in front of my computer but i will check email on iphone because its quicker.... and all the pics i put on here are from my iphone...i know there not the best, but they are good.

Im sure it is one of those situations that if I had an iPhone for a week, then I would understand the addiction, so I'm not going to take the first puff.

X2.. But i have to say after i did the upgrade to the 4.0 my phone SUCKS !!!!! Super slow, texting lags, and my phone locks up alot.. I'm about ready to give it back to apple to fix it..

yo,,,mine to,,, that pissed me off. a little better when i went to 4.01 i have heard the new iphone 4 is super fast though...so when i can figure out how to stop spending money on fish i will buy that one.

Yea, when i get some cash i might look into a 4G, but i wanna wait til they get all the bugs worked out first..

I hear that AT&T is horrible. Maybe that's the cause.

I've been with ATT for almost 14 years and i have to say i've had my isses with them but i wouldn't say horrible..

i was with att then switched to tmobil, and now back to att. definetly will stay with att

bah...had to downgrade to 3.1.2
ill wait til i get into china to upgrade.
