New tank help
My new 40 gallon breeder hangs over the lip of my stand maybe 1/2 an inch or less on the front and back, is this ok? :/

Re: New tank help
I think it would be better if it hung off the ends. The front and back offer a lot of support. I'd be nervous to run it this way, but it may be ok

Re: New tank help
My mom's did this. Simple fix. Cut a 1/2" piece of plywood to fit just under the tank. Helps disburse the weight and doesn't make it look bad. We stained it but it could easily be painted too. We didn't feel safe with it hanging over either for fear or seals breaking or creating cracks.

Thanks everyone. This particular tank didn't work out, but I got an early birthday present, brand new tank! So I have that all set up and no longer have to worry about my acrylic time-bomb

Re: New tank help
Here it is so far! (My camera always makes it look green lol) Might move the log around, get rid of the water lettuce, and I will invest in a brighter bulb... It came with a hood light, is there a bulb that will be brighter?
