For those of us that attended, what did you guys manage to snag?

I'll start:

For a grand total of $7, I brought home:

  • A perfectly functioning Rena XP3
  • A bag of various powerstrips
  • A huge bunch of Pogostemon Erectus
  • 2 big bags of Water Lettuce & Salvinia
  • Some Bolbitis Heudelotii
  • 3 ABN's about 3" long

I think that was about it.

Yeah, my total sales were $33, that plus 5 fishbucks for helping out brought the total to $7. Though some people made out with with some killer deals, there was one guy who snagged a 1 1/2hp reef chiller for a little over $100. Those things are pushing a grand or more brand new!

I think the chiller would have gone for more if it wasn't going to a charity Smile

The real steal of the day was the 40 gallon acrylic piece of art aquarium with finnex light... I think that went for 120 bucks.

I made out with a fluval 106, hydor inline heater and a bunch of water lettuce.

I also pillaged one of swamp-rat's sterbais (like this one:)

That tank was amazingly nice and that was a killer deal. I was super jealous.

Persicaria sp. 'Kawagoeanum'
Rotala colorata "Singapore"
Red Ludwigia
Wormwood log covered in Hygro Pinnatifida
Finnex 12" light

There was a lot more I wanted and bid on but lost out to others. It was a great day all in all.

Oh yeah! I forgot my favorite haul item! A collection of "The Rainbow Times" from 1991 to 1998 from Gary Lange! Totally worth the splurge!

I picked up 4 20s and 55 with metal stand, UV sterilizer, co2 reactor, 3 bags of montazuma swords, two male Apisto Kellrie, moss/moss/moss, and a few other things. My total was $98 Smile

Corys tank went waaaaaaayyyy to cheep.  I ment to talk my fience into it. The 48" Current LED that went for $60 was a deal too!!!

Hi All,

I hope everyone had a great time at the big, annual GSAS General Auction! Judging from some of the postings in this thread everyone seemed to find a bargain and best of all the proceeds from the auction allows GSAS to bring in some of the outstanding speakers you have had the opportunity to enjoy in the past. Just wait until you find out how our speaker is for May!
