Light spectrums on lights
I was playing around with a cheap toy I got from an astronomy outing and decided to see what the aquarium lights are emitting. Here's the results.

Finnex Ray 2 (white)

Finnex FugeRay (Blue)

Finnex FugeRay (White+Blue) Same as above, but with white turned on.

WavePoint White

WavePoint Blue
For comparison, here's a regular old CFL[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
And a 14W T8 (hard to tell here, but the light is mostly blue and purple with some red and green and nothing in between.

If anyone has a T5 setup going or other LED brands and wouldn't mind sharing for a while, I'd love to come over and try to get some shots to compare.

Those pics make my eyes hurts Tom but they are very interesting. Now you need to show plants and fish under each so we see what those lights create Oh the projects we weave ....ha!

Yeah, I gave myself a pretty good headache taking and editing these pics, but it's the cheapest way of capturing the color spectrum of a light without fighting the auto white balance logic in the camera

Looks like Finnex Blue and White is most efficient for plants IMO. Of course once it goes through water that spectrum gets skewed a bit more but it looks like highest light saturation.
