MY sweet craigslist pick up(150)!!!!!!
I traded a 55g with stand for this 150 w/stand, because one of the seems blew out ...... It is has now been completely resealed and holds water (a huge thanks to addicted2ca) and will finally be complete when I get the braces on the top. I am expediting the cycling process by running two filters that were being used on two of my other tanks, and by throwing in a handful of my juvenile hybrids and a few others in there...... it's not a perfect setup, but it works well for a garage tank! looking forward to making this tank a nice growout tank so that I can put the best of the best in my house tanks! here are some pictures
the current setup with a couple of channel clamps (until the brace reinforcements are made)

I couldn't decide on a substrate, so I mixed both... lol

It came complete with a fish measuring device

the background is a gray color that we used to paint one of our rooms..... SO far, the entire tank has only set me back around $30 dollars ( the 55 I had was given to me a few years ago)

Good deal! I never thought to have a 'garage tank'.....
If my new little cat turns out to be a monster, I might have to have a garage tank of my own one day.

I have ten (10) "garage tanks"....all are in the garage and all are worthy of staying there (well...one of them I want in the house...real bad...but that's another story) Anyway, nice tank and congrats!!!!

can't go wrong with a 150g for 30 bucks lol! Interesting color choice for the background, never seen grey. I think it would be pretty awesome if someone with some decent artistic talent painted a background grey with various black lines to make it look like cracks in a rock wall. Nice score! keep us updated with pics

yeah, that would be pretty cool! I wasn't sure that I was going to like the grey, but the grey actually makes the tank look larger than it is(gives the impression of a murky river bed extending back into the shore, and for some reason, the fish's color actually pops with that as a back drop. it's kind of weird and counter intuitive......i will post up some pics soon

That is awesome, I love fixer projects! All you need now is a BEvERage fridge and a La-Z-Boy next to it so you can chill in the garage with your fish.
