I have never seen an umbee in person......no lfs anywhere around here.

Umbee is the only way to go for the large predator types. it is the one fish that has stayed with me, most the others get traded every so often. IMO, better looking and more personable than a Dovii. Then again I have only seen others Dovii, not kept them myself.

I really like the Dovii , I am sure to like the umbee as well....after all it is a fish. I will never make it to mid June. But the wait will be worth it.. I am trying to get county permission to make a half acre pond, to put Midas in for fishing.

I am seeing that as 1/2 acre correct?! that is not a typo?! lol

No good fishing right around here, so what is better than a private pond? It would take about 15 minutes to build the dike I need. I have a spring that comes out at 75 degrees year round. It is the same water I use for all the fish. Fish box people could get invites If the situation warrants it....(bring beer)

wow that really is dream property, right on man! Just finished up a 3000gal pond at my parents and thought that was big! lol

There was a pond here but previous people drained it for pasture. I just want to put the natural berm back up and it will fill.

looks like addicted, madness, and myself will need to get some drinks for you soon..... it would be incredible to fish for some feral midevils like they have in florida..... you need to make this dream a reality!

Working on it needless to say quite a bit of cash involved for a guy on military retirements. But I own the current property free and clear and pre qualified for the purchase if I can just get the owner down to reasonable. To him it is land locked and useless. I could build on it.

lol just build it, my buddies neighbor just ran into a similar issue where the county wont let him build proper drainage (for some BS reason or another) so all he did was make the center of his field (which 6 months out of the year is underwater anyway) into a nice sized pond. long story short its best to just do it and say it was already like that then to go through proper channels. on a side note i first received this little tid bit from a seattle police officer. GL to ya just make sure your neighbors dont hate you. as they will be the ones who either make your case or break it.
