I say splurge and get a 29g. A lot more you can do with the 30" length. I presume you were thinking the 20 as opposed to the 20L?

Well I ended up getting a 20g tall because it fits perfectly on my "stand". A 20 long or 29g would have been hanging over the stands edge 5". I had a $7 off coupon and ended up getting the 20 tall for $16 out the door. I feel like I stole it haha. Now I just need a decent light and heater.

Congrats on the new tank. DONT skimp on a heater, this is one of those things I find better to generally buy new. Filters on the other hand can be found pretty cheap used.

I bought a new 100watt heater for $24. It seems to keep the temp nice and constant . Right now it's about 73 degrees. Running two filters on it right now, that flourite is DIRTY!!! I rinsed the crap out of it and it still was really bad. It's cleared up nicely now. I got my dwarf hairgrass planted, hopefully it will carpet like I want it to. the next thing on my list to get is a better light.

Yes it is, however I need to rotate it apparently haha. The water is clearer now than when that picture was taken.
