Where to find Live Daphnia

I'm curious if anyone on here has had any luck keeping Daphnia alive? I'd like to try and see if I can get some for my fish and shrimp tanks. Could anyone point me into the right direction?

Yes, one of our very, very long term GSAS members maintains a culture of daphnia (or possibly two species of daphnia) and brings 'starter portions' to our meetings regularly or upon request.

I will e-mail them again and ask them to contact you.

I was at the GSAS Board Meeting last night at a different Board Member's home and they had a couple of jars of Daphnia on their south facing window sill. So we may have a second source if the first one falls through.
