My new Leopard Frog Plecos!
So Sunday I was in A Place For Pets. Me and lars on were checking out the tanks. I say "HI" to Kevin and he says, "Want to see something cool?"
OF COURSE I DO!
He takes us over to a tank and says, "See that fish in the corner?" I'm looking and don't see anything amazing. then he says, "No, right below the heater."
And there it was..a little (2.5") Leopard Frog Pleco! That's all I needed. "I'll take two please!"

Thanks to Kevin for the amazing fish, the adventures in Tarantula handling and the lone Saulosi I left behind!
If you haven't been to A Place For Pets, you owe it to yourself to make the time to go. Simply the BEST LFS around.

$45 each. I think her has 2 left. I am also pretty sure these are from that guy they are trying to do a group buy from. They have the exact same patterning and such as the ones in his photo.

Re: My new Leopard Frog Plecos!
For as long as a pleco lives I can justify spending a bit more on one that looks a bit different/cool. I've got a marble high fin that I got from Kev a long time ago.. glad I got an interesting one.

Re: My new Leopard Frog Plecos!
I guess Kevin read on the site that I was looking for these. Probably the coolest looking Pleco I have ever seen. I can't wait for them to get bigger. They will be in the 180 once they get a bit bigger.

Re: My new Leopard Frog Plecos!
Kinda reminds me of the "clown" pleco's that came out about 5 years ago. They had more yellow than white but same striping. Very interesting Pleco Spyral. I must visit this store someday. I hear great things about Kevin

That's got nothing on the L250... only $4500 a peice!
Nice plecos Spy!
I'm pretty sure these are coming out of CX... same pattern as the ones we got, Kevin had gotten a few from another place but they went for alot more than 45 last time I was in there. Something like 70 iirc...

Re: My new Leopard Frog Plecos!
I really like plecos too, but have a hard time keeping them alive with the exception of bristlenose.
Spyral, are these active during the day or do they stay in their caves and come out at night? Are they algae eaters? Your saulosi don't mess with them? Do they breed in captivity?
Sorry for all the questions. They are so cool looking, I wouldn't mind picking some up, but at that price and my luck, I'm afraid to.

They are active day and night. They spend a good amount of time in their caves, but they come out a lot. They seem to eat algae, but like most plecos I have had, don;t seem to do much to the algae in the tank. The Saulosi were real curious at first, but they don't mess with them. I don't know if they breed n captivity.
