20G long lamprologus meleagris setup
Last weekend I was down in Portland and stopped by The Wet Spot and ended up picking up their last 3 "pearly ocellatus" and a small black calvus. These guys are a blast to watch! They don't seem too aggressive, just a little chasing now and then but nothing too bad at all. I think I have 2M/1F but I really can't tell because 2 of them are still small and aren't showing much color yet.
They are settling in nicely so far. I am not changing my ph at all, seems more of a hassle and something I don't want to get wrong and kill them (It's at about 7.4 right now).
I took some pics with my phone that are a little fuzzy but show the colors of the bigger one (think it's a male) really well. Not exactly sure how to get pics on here but will try when I get home from work.

youve got the perfect sized setup for them. clearly youve done your research the trick with pics is to upload to an online site (like photobucket) theres also a cpl of links on how specifically to post them up. either way excited to see em, always wanted to try the Pearly's

A couple pictures that I took. Phone quality seems to suck pretty bad but you get the idea. I'll try to get a full tank shot when I get home as well.

Re: 20G long lamprologus meleagris setup
depends on footprint really lloyd. in a huge tank like your thinking id probably do a colony of multies and then some brichardi. just let both species go hog wild breeding.
Boxed: wat kind of calvus is that? looks like it may be washed out colorwise because of the substrate (i had one that did the same thing, "black calvus" but more white then anything)

Yeah it's a black calvus and has a little more color than when s/he first went in but still doesn't look as good as when it was at the wet spot. I don't know if it just takes time (last night he was much more active since I got him).
@Lloyd: I plan on moving these guys in a 90g in less than a year but haven't decided on a final stocking list. But that's half the fun right there!
