Love of my life fish. Variatus Hifin Platies. Water turned green. Letting it stay green till it warms up enough I can seed ponds outside for daphnia production.

Hooray, the clown loaches are up! That is an awesome tank! Cant wait for that archer water to clear up so we can see better pics. Bonus points for the fishbox reflection on the tank Wink

Water is clear on the archer tank. It's just that there were spots on it and the auto focus of the camera was going wacky. I still need to do some more setup on the tank before I bother to clean the glass for photos Razz

I would love a huge tank just for platy varieties.

Platy tank is a 40 gallon breeder.

As for the loaches. I believe there are 28 rather large ones. Biggest is somewhere between 10-13 inches. Most others are 6+ inches.

That's a crapton of loaches.  cyclops

I have my platies (maculatus, but the petsmart sunburst seem to have a lot of hilleri in them) in a mish-mash of 10g, 20g, 29g tanks. I'd love to get a couple of 40s someday... after my house magically expands itself.

That is a "herd" of loaches...I've never seen so many big ones in one place. Fantastic Cory. And those platies are very pretty. Also liking the shrimps (jealous...yes...I am). Happy you are starting to feel settled enough to get things rolling with your tanks. Moving is so stressful and moving with fish is even harder I think. Great work!

Cory, Your loaches look great. I have nine of them myself, but split up into two different tanks.  Smile

I had a friend that at one time, had 37 Loaches in a Marineland 300G. Talk about a feeding frenzy when he fed them. lol...
