need a stand? I can weld you a stand or build a custom wood. I've made plenty of both. I can provide you with references of past customers and pics on request. Thanks. Dave

Im looking for three tier 55 gallon stands prefer the metal ones, or if you can build them how much?
I want it to hold three 55 gallon tanks upright direction not side by side.. I will need two of these and another rack I need to have built is for two 125 gallon tanks one on top the other.. Let me know if this is possible and how much you would want to pull this off?

I was planning to start a stand for my new 100g (54x20x20) acrylic this weekend, but would much prefer a steel stand. I have a design already made as well. Want to PM your email so we can discuss?

thanks!
Larry

How much for a welded metal frame?, for 180 G?
What is the gauge, type, shape of the material?
What kind of welding machine would you use to weld?

Is the 180 a glass or acrylic. Is it ok for there to be 6 legs or do you need only 4 so you can put a big sump under it. Depending on what your specific needs are determine what guage and thickness is needed. All stands are custom made to your specs so you get exactly what you want. I use a lincoln electric MIG welder. Thanks and PM me with the specs and I'll shoot you back a price.

I had that hippy dude on craigslist build me a stand for 125 gallon and had to have a friend come over and beef it up as it was poorly built outta 2x4's and must have taken him ten minutes to build and was wobbly with tank on it and no water.... Avoid dude on CL go with Dave, He seems to have his shit together.... Laughing king

180 glass.
6 legs is doable. Rather have more structural ridgity.
I Want a stand that will also show case my canisters, so the bottom must be open.
So, a typical 6 legged stand with truss so I can use wood to use platforms or my canisters.
Lincoln machines are good.
If you can just fabricate and weld them, I'll do the polishing an painting. Yea, PM a quote.

Thanks, I've been a carpenter for about 10 years. I build all my stands out of real wood, not particle board crap and 2x4's from home depot. I like oak because it is nice to work with and when you stain it it looks great. I also have used pine on a few stands. Cherry is cool too but pricey. I'll try and get some pics up if I can figure out how to post them.

just posted some pics of the racks I welded in my fish room. Also I've welded the fish tank display racks at two fish stores in the seattle area. Aquarium Plus in China town and a pet store in sammamish called Civilized Nature.

Quote on a rack like that? Holds two 55s, has the bar that is above the top one to hang shop light etc? I'd love to be able to hang shop lights above my tanks and actually have 10 inches above the lower one etc.

Thanks,
Cory
