There are some regulars at The Wild Side right now for $8.99, just saw them there today.

There is also a guy who posts on craigslist from time to time with albinos, I think he is in Lakewood. I think he just sells off the fry from his pair.

Not a favorite place of mine. Just mentioned I saw them there. I hate the fact I have to "watch my step" in there or else I may end up stepping in some bird crap. I also hate when you looking at fish and you feel something weird and look down and the stupid duck is trying to eat your shoe laces. I understand having a store "pet", a single cat would be fine, but the rest of the farm animals really make for a bad experience in that store.

I don't care much for the store, but I like the duck!

Ashley, what other fish would you be putting the bristlenose in with? I have some small ones that would be in need of growing out before they can go in a tank with big fish. I could give you two or three of them so you wouldn't need to buy as many elsewhere.

I'll just give them to you -- free. They aren't more than 1 - 1.5 inches and not sexable yet. If you are going to keep several in a community tank, you'll need to be sure to supplement their feeding because any algae in the tank won't last long and they won't get enough to eat.

My biggest complaint with them is pushiness, I usually don't go there because I usually get in spats with the owner. I guess I don't see the animal abuse like most people do. I don't agree with the selling of pups and kittens(but if there's a market they're gonna sell them). A lot of people don't like the rodent's in the 10gals either but that's usually how it's done in most small pet stores. Don't think it's right but it's kinda like buying bettas in cups. People don't like it but they buy them anyways. As for the duck, the poop is annoying. I've got 11 pet ducks and I don't know how many chickens and I love them but they belong outside. It's also a problem for ducks to walk on a hard surface all the time, creates bumble foot which is puss filled blisters on the bottom of their feet.

I used to have friend that sold me her 1 1/2"-2" BN babies for $.50 a piece. I'd buy like 40 from her at a time, raise them a little and then sell them off. Got rid of everybody when I took down my tanks though . I broke off the friendship so I can't get anymore now, otherwise I would have gotten some more.
