F1 is not wild. It is one generation removed from Wild Caught. In other words, its parents were WC.
So, he is correct. By your own admission, you do not have a wild Oscar. |

| ya and by the way typically the wild type Oscars don't have any of that red coloration. that was developed by some Asian breeder in Thailand in the 70's so before you go calling me a goofball do your research. |

| Yes, technically this is not an F0 wild O. It is the first generation, parasite and predator free of a pair of amazing wild Oscars. I've seen the parents photos and many of my Oscar's siblings as well. This coloration and patterning are typical of the Oscars found at that location. Definitely not a normal Oscar. You're not going to find yellow patches with freckling on junk Oscars. Or the brown chin. Or the bulletholes on the dorsal fin. In fact, I find it surprising that you didn't recognize these traits without my help.
