i have a 30 gallon snail tank that planted with 3 neon tetras and a baby pleco, i'm interested in a discus but dont know much about them tho i heard they r very delicate fish that need lots of water changes. any info and advise would be great thank you. also any wanna hook me up with a discus or two that would be great thanks in advance.

I would go bigger then a 30G tank for discus

i dont have a bigger tank to upgrade to except my 45 gallon tank but it has 2 marble angelfish a figure 8 puffer fish 3 clown loaches 2 rams 1 hifin pleco and 2 glofish, so that tank is pretty much full plus i would think the angels would beat up on a discus. once i move i have convinced the wife that i need a bigger tank so maybe i'll have to wait to get a discus when we move.

Discus like to be in packs also and from what I understand need a really low ph

You need a 90g tank with a group of 6 discus for them to do well.

thanks for the info guys i decided to put my rams in there instead and they seem to really like it. so now i got about 50 plus ramshorn and mystery snails 3 neon tetras and a baby pleco they all seem to be very content now i have room in my other tank for some more angelfish

the snails are all pretty small but they multiply like crazy i noticed about 15 egg sacks when i was cleaning the tank i'm gonna be over run with snail here soon lol

Discus are VERY sensitive fish. It's not just about the water changes, it's about keeping water parameters perfect too. If you've never owned them before I recommend doing a ton of research first. Of course we'll all help you out as well
