How much Java Moss is TOO much?
I just aquired a large butter bowl full of Java Moss & stuck most of it in the Livebearer tank for babies to hide in & all my fish went nuts on it. They are picking at it and swimming in and out of it. But it is now really dark in the tank. It is a huge cloud of moss, and I know the babies (if I ever get any) will be safe in it, but how much is too much? The tank is a 37 gallon Eclipse, and although the plant bulb and normal bulb are several years old, I imagine the moss will grow even more. Should I sell some of it, or leave it for the babies to hide in?

Watch the bottom layer, if it starts browning out its time to trim it up.
