I have no idea, but are you sure they're aquarium safe and won't leave lead in the water? You could always just try tying/zipping the plant to a rock or piece of driftwood.

really should avoid lead man, even if its aquarium safe, something simple could make it not aquarium safe its highly toxic to everything

Go to Wal-Marche' fishing dept buy a roll of Lead weight. To all you Nay Sayers it works just fine. I have it wrapped around the bottom of my plants w/ a 5 & 8" Red Devils Yes the plants stay @ the Bottom did I mention the whole roll is 4 Bucks & change.

I always just save the ones I get when I get plants mail order but wanted to agree that they are safe for aquarium use. They've been using them bundle plant stems for years.

we used many things for years that were highly toxic now theres hundreds of thousands who regret it, lead is toxic to you, your fish, any animal around - im not gonna frown on anyone that does use it, just saying its a bad call lol rocks are pretty heavy too without the possible cancer/death Razz

True, avoiding the risk entirely is the absolute safest method but I think that a few strips of lead weights in your aquarium probably pale in comparison to the exposure most of us have thanks to living/working in old buildings. Wink
