| I have no idea, but are you sure they're aquarium safe and won't leave lead in the water? You could always just try tying/zipping the plant to a rock or piece of driftwood. |

| really should avoid lead man, even if its aquarium safe, something simple could make it not aquarium safe its highly toxic to everything |

| Go to Wal-Marche' fishing dept buy a roll of Lead weight. To all you Nay Sayers it works just fine. I have it wrapped around the bottom of my plants w/ a 5 & 8" Red Devils Yes the plants stay @ the Bottom did I mention the whole roll is 4 Bucks & change. |

| I always just save the ones I get when I get plants mail order but wanted to agree that they are safe for aquarium use. They've been using them bundle plant stems for years. |

| we used many things for years that were highly toxic now theres hundreds of thousands who regret it, lead is toxic to you, your fish, any animal around - im not gonna frown on anyone that does use it, just saying its a bad call lol rocks are pretty heavy too without the possible cancer/death  |

| True, avoiding the risk entirely is the absolute safest method but I think that a few strips of lead weights in your aquarium probably pale in comparison to the exposure most of us have thanks to living/working in old buildings.  |
