So far NOBODY has in stock or ever had in stock Galaxy Rasboras (at least thats what I have been told by the friendly voices on the other side of the phoneline) in any of the greater Seattle area LFSs. So I come to you and ask "Who has them?" I can't even find them online unless they are called something else. Any ideas?

Also known as Celestial Pearl Danio - see
http://www.aquatic-eden.com/2007/03/galaxy-rasbora-celestichthys.html
live aquaria has them in stock. They are not as pretty as the ones pictured on the aquatic eden page

Celestial Pearl Danio(CPD) is what are you looking for? Microrasbora galaxy is an old name.
Sorry, it looks like lilfishie was quicker

Well done both of you. See, my theory of a different name was one of the factors in not finding them. The other is a local problem of where they are collected or should I say overcollected to the point of making it hard to find in the trade now. Excellent info on aquatic eden site. My search shall continue with new hope.

The info in aquatic eden are too old(the story with overcolecting and boycot is history, CPD is a fish very easy to breed so you can find a lot of tank bred CPD). Live aquaria makes another mistake, the fish origin is Myanmar. It is a hardy and easy to maintain and breed fish. More acurate info at it's own forum:

If you don't find any CPD you can PM me and I'll tell you what I have. However I prefer not to sell/trade fish or plants on the forum.

I saw some at Pet-Pourri in Everett. They are very young(probably 2-3 month old, they have spots and the colour on the fins started to develope. Unable to sex them. They don,t look to be on very good shape and the lighting on that tank is poor. you may be able to find some nice specimens if you and the seller are patient. I wouldn't buy unless you are desperate to get some.
