Peacock Cichlid with the lights turned off on the tank and only a rainy days worth of light coming in through the living room windows. AMAZING! We were suggested to feed them kelp flakes to help inhance their colors. They LOVE the food and it's really making their colors pop!!

He feeds a variety of bloodworms, cichlid pellets and kelp flakes. We watched some videos on YouTube and one was a sheet of seawead being devoured! It was crazy. So we got looking into it, Petsmart had the kelp flakes we bought. It was by the salt water sand and such. But they had seawead sheets there as well. We just thought the flakes were better for our tank.

The cichlids eat up either of those three like crazy. (Me) also suggested glass worms, which you can buy in frozen cubes at Petsmart. We just weren't going to make it home before they melted and had to be refrozen so we opted for the flakes this time around.

Be careful of feeding too many bloodworms in one setting. But gorgeous fish Smile

He isn't feeding blood worms as much any more. He thinks they are making his alpha male more aggresive after he eats them. So it's mainly pellets and kelp flakes now
