| I will see if I can get some pics posted tonight. His top fin comes to a point and going towards the tail. Fin after his poopy hole is pointed and going towards the tail fin as well.

Here is a vid I took about 3-4 weeks ago. There's a few spots where you might be able to see his fins.
My tank is only 2 months old. Will be getting a lot more plants. I bought 2 of the marineland's biggest LED light fixtures, wanted to make sure I could grow some plants.
Nothing wrong with the Devil. My 5 stars are trying to pair and the Devil just likes to slap his balls between the 2. He said "If I'm not getting none, you ain't gettin none" =P He's a sweet fish. Will get pics tonite. |

Jeff has some really nice stuff. His specimens are awsome! Never bad quality fish. He's been in the fish game a very long time. A cichlid magazine just did a article on him. His customer service is awsome. Helped me save money on my shipping and when you purchase from him, you know your not getting a watered down fish. |

Shot this really quickly today. I think it's a male. Hopefully others will chime in.

| That piece is sweet! I bought it off eBay. It was a lil spendy but worth it. I think I got all the wood in my tank for 150$ including shipping. Its super heavy too! I bought it from apethouse. Wood is not spendy, shipping cost just as much as the wood. Service from them was sweet, supe fast shipping as well. Its Malaysian driftwood. They have some pretty sweet pieces right now. There's also 1 piece on each side that are about 12" tall that you can't really see, huge caves underneath, they're pretty sweet as well. I put both of my LED's in the middle of my tank to give a different lighting effect. I believe the plants up top are duckweed. My buddy gave them to me. |

| hard to tell if it is a male the fins dont mean anything. my carpintis anal fin are to a point and longer then her tail. my red devils fins are pointed and run passed the tail(i think female but not sure lol) and i have had 2 females and both fins where longer then tail. so i gave up on trying to figure it out lol |

| Seems the only way to tell is by venting the fish. I'm getting more info on how to tell the difference. Get off work here in 2 hrs. |

| i agree 100% with WILL I AM.... I thought I had a female midas for the longest time, and after venting him it was definetly a male..... pointed fins, knochual humps (koks) are simply a good way to guess sex... but the only way you can determine it is by venting.. I am not convinced at all it is a male from watching the video... Take him/her out and check out there naughty parts... should be able to tell at his/her age.... I put a thread up with pictures on how to vent your fish... check in the breeding section. _________________ Sandnuka WFB Administrator
